Event Overview
- Date/Time: Thursday, October 2, 5:00–8:00 PM 
- Location: Downtown West Plains Square in front of the Aid building 
- Purpose: Raise funds for Downtown revitalization + provide prize money for winners.

Baker Participation Rules
- Two Pies Required 
- Pie #1: For tasting/judging. 
- Pie #2: Auctioned off to the highest bidder for a fundraiser. 
- Theme Encouraged, Not Required 
- Bonus points for Dolly or Porter inspired pie names/flavors (e.g., “Jolene’s Lemon Meringue,” “Porter’s Pecan Pride”). 
- Pie Type 
- Sweet, savory, or both accepted for multiple entries 
- Entry Fee 
- $5 per baker per entry (helps with prize pool & fundraising). 
- Sign-up Deadline 
- One week before the event (Sept. 25) to allow promotion. 
Event Timeline
5 PM – Bakers arrive & set up pies. Pies must be dropped off by 6pm.
6 PM – Judging and Pie Tasting begins.
7:45 PM – Winners announced & Pie auction starts
Judging
- Panel of 3 Local Judges 
- Categories: Best Overall Pie, Most Creative Flavor, Best Presentation +Peoples Choice 
- Scoring: 1–10 scale for Taste, Creativity, Presentation. 
How Your Pie Gives Back to Downtown
- Pie Auction 
- The auctioneer hypes each pie. 
- Include baker’s name, baker/pie story, and theme in pitch. 
- People’s Choice Tasting 
- $5 “tasting kits” (3 mini sample tickets + 1 voting token for PC) 
- $20 Sample All + 5 voting tokens for PC 
Cash Prizes for each category
- Best Overall 
- Most Creative Flavor 
- Best Presentation/Theme 
- People’s Choice 
- Best Gluten-Free
