Get ready for another unforgettable evening in the heart of West Plains! Sounds Downtown returns on Thursday, August 21st, bringing live music, community spirit, and summer fun to the downtown square—and this month, we’re thrilled to welcome Molly Clair to the stage!
Meet Molly Clair
Raised on a farm in the Missouri Ozark Mountains, Molly Clair Corman is no stranger to the soulful sounds of the region. The daughter of Gene and Anna Corman, Molly grew up steeped in the traditions of Ozark music, which has shaped her unique blend of bluegrass, country, and gospel.
In just under two years, Molly has made a name for herself as a rising star, performing lead vocals and playing mandolin with her band, Molly Clair & Co., across Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas, North Carolina, Kentucky, and even Nashville, Tennessee.
Her debut album—released on September 14, 2024, at the Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Festival—features collaborations with some of the biggest names in the genre, including:
🎵 Clay Hess, Grammy Award winner and former member of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder
🎻 Tim Crouch, renowned multi-instrumentalist
👑 Rhonda Vincent, Grand Ole Opry member and the “Queen of Bluegrass”
🎤 Maddie Dalton, vocalist and bassist for Sister Sadie
Molly also serves as Junior Vice-President of Tomorrow’s Bluegrass Stars (TBS) and was inducted into the George D. Hay Society this past October at the Historic Star Theater in Willow Springs, Missouri.
